Our Traditional River Trip offers an insightful overview into the history, wildlife and scenic landscape of the Norfolk Broads as you wind down the River Bure and across two Broads. As you take in the fantastic riverside properties through the villages of Hoveton & Wroxham, you’ll learn about the formation of these magical waterways, the history & culture of the area & hopefully spot some of the best wildlife the Norfolk Broads has to offer. A great introduction to the area, with our Skipper’s lively commentary keeping you entertained & informed along the way. After our boat trip you will have free time in Wroxham until 3.45pm when we will make our way to the Bure Valley railway Station in Wroxham for our journey to Aylsham. Experience a nostalgic trip by steam on Norfolk’s longest narrow gauge railway which runs between the historic market town of Aylsham and bustling town of Wroxham, at the heart of the Norfolk Broads. The 9 mile round trip runs through the pretty Bure Valley countryside following the meandering River Bure through meadowland and ancient pasture. Along the line are wayside halts serving the picturesque Broadland villages of Brampton, Buxton and Coltishall. Our coach will be waiting for us at Aylsham for the return journey back to Spalding.
